Mechanical Engineer with 3 to 5 years experience in handling QA/QC matters independently. Work experience with Storage Tanks and knowledge of API 650 AND 653 is an added value. CSWIP, BGAS certificates in Mechanical works and painting is preferable. Good Computer skill including AutoCAD to prepare documents and independently to deal with client.
• Develop independently fully detailed duct layout from single line drawings conceptual sketches and engineering instructions according to SMACNA or DW 142 duct construction standards.
• Shall be able to coordinate the duct works with other trades, i.e. structural, piping, electrical and interior design.
• Shall have basic knowledge in the air conditioning design
• Shall be able to do duct sizing from air flow data.

HVAC plant room design
• Shall have basic knowledge of different hvac equipments, in terms of function and space requirements.
• Shall be able to develop plant room layouts and sectional drawings.
HVAC piping
• Shall be able to develop detailed pipe layout and isometric drawings
Preferred Qualification and Experience, Masters / Bachelor Degree in Engineering - Mechanical Discipline, With 8-12 Years of Experience out of which the last 5 years should be in the field of Heavy Lifting and Heavy Transportation Industry. Middle East Exposure would be an advantage.
Develop project cost estimates and schedules in support of the Project Development process for medium and large Capital Investment projects for Client affiliated Gas Plant sites in Qatar. The incumbent will also provide project cost and schedule control for large Capital Investment projects during development and execution. Reports to the Project Management Section Head Main responsibilities: Responsible for cost stewardship, financial controls, project scheduling and cost estimating for both active and planned projects. Develop project cost estimates to support all phases of project development from screening studies to project appropriation for capital investment projects typically Various range. This will include the use of a sophisticated suite of in-house tools and computer programs to develop estimates of Direct Costs and Indirect Costs. Liaison and coordination with project stakeholders, facilities planners, process designers, project execution management and affiliate owner organisations. Develop Capital/Expense Splits, Expenditure Profiles. Develop early project schedules. Provide Technical Quality Assurance for cost estimates developed by client affiliates and engineering contractors. Work collaboratively with colleagues working in the same field both in the office and in affiliate concern plant. As the incumbent grows in experience, opportunities exist for assignment as the Project Control Engineer on a medium to large capital investment project.
Ideal Candidate must have worked as Sr. Instrument Engineer or Equivalent position in Leading EPC Engineering companies or Consultants for Oil & Gas/Refinery Projects. Shall have good proven working experience including but not limited to the following: Min 8 years relevant working experience in the design engineering/design of oil & gas, refinery or petro-chemical industry. Has knowledge & familiar working with Smart plant instrumentations software would be an added advantage. Shall be familiar with International Codes and Standards. Shall be Computer literate, must have exposure in ETAP Power Station/EDSA, etc. Shall possess good communication skills in English language.
Prior to the start of works, to check the Supplier ‘s material and technical documentation delivery schedule .Check that the same is in line with Construction schedules and contractual commitments
To check that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay.
To check that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor is adequate and that the work conform to design documents, Safety regulations and to the Quality level fixed by the same.
To prepare non-conformity register for each Sub Contractor and coordinate non-conformity resolution.
To detect design errors and rectify the same and request Site Engineer to make necessary changes.
To check Subcontractor ‘s work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval.
